To: All Concerned,
The BPO in discussion with Barry Davis, Meet Director, it has been decided to postpone the 2020 BPO British Open Championships due to be held on 26th April.
A new date will be decided as soon as matters relating to the COVID-19 are clearer. This may well entail restructuring other championships later this year.
Lifters will be given at least 6 weeks’ notice or more to the revised dates.
Lifters who have already sent their entry form and fee will have the option to transfer their entry to the new championship dates.
We will consult the Meet Directors hosting the remaining 2020 championships for future updates.
Lifters intending to enter the 2020 EPC European championships in June and 2020 WPF World championships in October/November hosted overseas will be aware that, travel restrictions are in force at present both ways, for how long at present unknown.
Please feel free to email me with any questions or further information you require.
Yours in our Sport of Powerlifting,
